Please, please, PLEASE use a VERY healthy dose of skepticism when you're surfing the net looking for trading help in the form of an online trading guide, help or advice.
Why the sarcasm?
We'll, first off, none of these sites touting or offering a purported futures online trading guide provide the same coverage as each other on learning futures trading.
Some will talk about some aspects, others, completely different aspects.
Some may talk about the same stuff, but not even mention other important trading aspects.
Second, much of the online trading content provided is very basic and recycled over many similar sites. Not much value to help your trading, but just enough to lull you into a fog and cause you potential financial loss and harm.
Even many broker sites often don't provide much more than the very basic trading information to get started. And to succeed in trading, you need MUCH more than very basic information. You need a comprehensive futures online trading guide.
You wouldn't attempt to fly a jetliner on partial two or three page overview, would you?
Yet, many aspiring futures traders try to do just that getting started in commodity trading.
Third, many of these sites trying to get you to click to their sites are driven by one thing - greed.
They're full of all sorts of advertisements, banner ads, affiliate and referral partners, and/or selling their own e-book, trading signals or a commodities futures online trading guide.
If you've spent any time at all online at some of these sites, you KNOW how frustrating it is to find good, especially free, futures trading information.

Programs that worked great at one point lose their effectiveness or even become really bad, potentially costing you a lot of money off their advice or signals.
Then why do these sites keep selling them? (Refer back to W.C. Fields quote above)
And no, there is NO holy grail, magic trading bullet that will work great all the time, forever.
NEWS FLASH #2 - trust your gut! If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

Like many new traders, I floundered about prior to and when I first started futures trading several years ago.
There is just SO much information out there - whom do you trust? Whom do you start with? What brokerage or broker will provide the best guidance and advice?
Those decisions are made all the more difficult because you've got to 'ante-up' and put your money on the table first! In the trading arena, there's no such thing as 'getting something for nothing'.
Except here.
After several months and some not so successful initial trades, I realized there was much more to know about trading - and succeeding at it - than 1-2-3 tops and bottoms from the first guide to online trading I'd purchased.
(This became even more painfully apparent a couple thousand less dollars later in initial trading losses - OUCH!)
So I decided to trade options instead - cheaper, I thought.
A stroke of genius, I thought! Conserve my trading account and trade cheap futures options instead.
After several not so successful trades with commodity options, I FINALLY woke up out of the fog. Guide to futures trading or not....I wasn't having the success I'd hoped for.
So, knowing the definition of insanity is continuing to the same thing while getting the same results - and not wanting to become more insane and frustrated...I committed to learning as much as I could about commodity trading.

Book after book after book. Dozens and dozens and DOZENS of books.

(Don't worry, it'll all become clearer here - all of that sounded like a foreign language to me also, early on).
After ingesting all this accumulated knowledge - and being MUCH more informed and educated, I spent more money, investing in a few advanced trading courses to expand on what I'd learned reading.
